we can extrapolate the maximum voltage that can fall across the series regulator.

Datasheet Cosultando the regulator (the PQ30RV31 SHARP) we see that the maximum dropout as a function of current and temperature is 0.15V which we approximate to 0.2 V.

Now we have all the data to decide which pre-stabilized voltage applied to the radio, without interfere with the functioning of the equipment.
